Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Endurance Horseride on January 6

THE Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef) is organising the Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa Endurance Horseride on January 6.Commencing at 1pm, the event will take place at the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club in Sakhir. It will also feature a Paralympic Ride, open for riders with special needs.

It will be held in line with the directives of Breef president and Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first vice-president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

Competing

Shaikh Khalid said the championship aims to have all riders competing under one roof and is an opportunity for riders with special needs to create a sense of co-operation and brotherhood among different sectors of the community.

Shaikh Khalid confirmed that a family entertainment festival will be organised on the sidelines of the event, with several ministries, organisations and companies to take part.

They include the Ministry of Education, Human Rights and Social Development, University of Bahrain and the General Organisation for Youth and Sports.

Shaikh Khalid thanked the companies that are sponsoring the festival. They are Bank Alkhair, Bapco, GPIC, Alba and Time Media.
